ElsterSecure is the new authentication app from ELSTER.
Once set up, you will only need your smartphone for login. You will no longer need a certificate file or a username after the initial setup.
To set up ElsterSecure:
- Log in to MeinElster as usual.
- Go to "My User Account".
- Under "Add ElsterSecure Login Option", you can link the app to your MeinElster account.
If you do not have a MeinElster account yet, you can register at www.elster.de and choose ElsterSecure as the login option.
Note: Currently, authentication with ElsterSecure is only available for logging into MeinElster. Transmission through third-party providers is not yet supported.
ElsterSecure requires the following permissions:
- Access to the device's camera(s): This permission is required for scanning the QR code.
